Clear the DTC with the HDS.

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode. |

Check for DTCs.

Is DTC B1227 or Error on the DTC screen A-A1 (climate control panel without display) or 05 (climate control panel with display) indicated?

Intermittent failure. Check for loose wires or poor connections on the outside air temperature sensor circuit.? |

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode. |

Disconnect the following connectors.
Climate control unit connector A (32P) |
Outside air temperature sensor 2P connector | |

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

|
The TAM wire is not open. Go to step 3. |
|
|
|
Repair an open in the TAM wire.? |

Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.

Is there continuity?

The SENSOR COM wire is OK. Go to step 4. |

|
Repair an open in the SENSOR COM wire.? |

Shorted wire check (TAM line to power):

Turn the vehicle to the ON mode. |

Measure the voltage between test points 1 and 2.

Is there any voltage?

Repair a short to power in the TAM wire.? |

The TAM wire is OK. Go to step 5. |
